Updated at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday: Plano police have announced there is a Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment on this aggravated robbery case.
Original: Plano police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man and woman who robbed a Super 8 motel in the 1700 block of Central Expressway just after 12:30 a.m. Dec. 18.
Video surveillance captured images of them in the parking lot as well as in the motel lobby.
According to police spokesman David Tilley, the woman entered the lobby first to scout out the location. She asked the clerk a few questions and then left, Tilley said. She returned to a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Nissan, in the parking lot and at some point climbed into the driver’s seat. The car pulled closer to the entrance, and the man got out.
The motel clerk was on the phone when the man entered the lobby brandishing a gun in each hand. The clerk put down the phone, and the man placed a bag on the counter. He demanded the clerk fill it with money. The clerk complied. The man left in the vehicle being driven by the woman, Tilley said.
No one was injured during the aggravated robbery.
The woman is described as being black, in her late 20s to early 30s, about 5-foot-4 with a medium to heavy build. She had shoulder-length hair and glasses and wore a dark-colored sweater, dark jeans, and camel-colored Ugg style boots. The man is described as being white, in his 20s or 30s, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and about 140 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a black-hooded-sweatshirt, faded jeans and dark shoes with white sole. He had a white piece of fabric covering the lower half of his face.
